    Mediation Skills: 40-Hour General Training

    Experience comprehensive, in-depth training in mediation skills. The 40-hour schedule meets or exceeds the national mediation training standard and the 25-hour training required by Wisconsin Chapter 767. Lectures, demonstrations, exercises and coaching teach the principles of mediation. This program has been approved by the Wisconsin State Bar for 40 CLE (Continuing Legal Education) hours, including 2 EPR (Ethics and Professional Responsibility) hours.

    Leading for Racial Equity Certificate: Transformation and Policy Tools

    This certificate is three days, offered in a highly participatory live-online format. Transform your commitment to racial equity into anti-racist leadership in this new two-part class. You will learn the key features of an anti-racist organization, assess the readiness of your organization to move toward anti-racism and plan next steps. Additionally, you will gain an understanding of how racial equity decision tools are used to hardwire equity strategies in budget allocations, programs and policy decisions. Apply an equity-focused analysis to a current project and leave with feedback on how to leverage the project for social justice and racial equity. Open to anyone with an intermediate understanding of racial equity who is ready to impact their organization's programs, practices, policies and decisions.

    Motivational Interviewing: Advanced Skills Practice

    This 20-hour course is designed for learners who have intermediate knowledge and skills needed for the practice of Motivational Interviewing (MI) and want to strengthen their existing skillset. Participate in four, 3-hour, live online, instructor-led sessions that will include lecture, discussion and small group practice sessions. Enhance your learning with 6-hours of required independent coursework. Improve your MI practice through peer (one session) and instructor (two sessions) feedback from standardized client interviews. Course registration includes the textbook Building Motivational Interviewing Skills: A Practitioner Workbook by David B. Rosengren and access to an online learning management system.

    Who Heals the Healer? The Impact of the Pandemic on Mental Health

    Join us for a workshop to cultivate emotional well-being in caretakers. This course is designed to be a sanctuary for anyone who has been on the front lines providing mental health care during the pandemic. We will explore the impact of COVID-19 on ourselves as helpers, examine current research, experiment with strategies to nurture the healer within and build our resilience while also connecting with each other. Please be prepared to engage in a variety of relaxation practices throughout this workshop. No prior yoga or meditation experience is required.

    EI for Groups: A Leader's Toolkit for Building Emotionally Intelligent Teams

    Emotional Intelligence is recognized as an important contributor to work performance and personal well-being. However today, work is increasingly team-based, so group leaders need advanced skills to build an emotionally intelligent team. This class will focus on the proactive approaches and tools for creating an EI culture that enables respectful, effective and creative collaboration even when the going gets tough. Emotionally intelligent teams are better equipped to solve problems, adapt to change, work together more effectively, and achieve greater productivity. For this class it will be assumed that participants are familiar with EI and want to lead or influence a team to become an extraordinary one. Participants will have the advantage of completing the EQi 2.0 self-assessment in advance of the class – the cost is included in the class fee.
