Scrum is a popular Agile framework that enables teams to plan and deliver project outcomes in an iterative and incremental way. This class will help build foundational knowledge of Scrum and equip you with skills to effectively manage, lead or be a member of a Scrum team. You will learn what kinds of projects call for an Agile Scrum approach. In today's fast-moving, complex environment we will cover why various aspects of Agile Scrum, like flexibility and adaptability, empirical process and ongoing alignment with customer needs will help accelerate time-to-outcome and maximize value delivery while significantly reducing overhead. The team-building aspect of Scrum helps create a more productive and empowered environment resulting in higher customer and employee satisfaction. We'll explore how a servant leadership style can facilitate the Scrum process more effectively.
This class is one of the required classes for the revised Project Management Certificate. Learners can enroll in this class independently of working towards the PM Certificate.
Please note: The certificate is not affiliated with the Project Management Institute® and is not intended as preparation for the PMP® exam. We will examine and practice some of the best project management models and strategies.
