Course Description

Thinking, reflecting, self-talk and inner voice are all examples of intrapersonal communication. The messages we process internally often have a direct impact on how we communicate with the world around us. Understanding the connection between our inner voice and self-esteem can influence success in personal and professional relationships. In this interactive course, we dig deeper into the types and forms of intrapersonal communication and explore the tools you can use to develop greater agency of your internal processing to increase positive interactions.

Overview

Course Objectives/Learning Outcomes:

This course aims to help individuals understand their inner voice, the types and forms of intrapersonal communication and the tools for successfully using this skill in personal and professional environments.

By the end of the course, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify the types and forms of intrapersonal communication
  2. Examine the relationship between self-esteem and communication with others
  3. Practice tools for increasing their self-esteem through positive intrapersonal communication
  4. Identify the barriers to positive intrapersonal communication and how to overcome them
  5. Apply intrapersonal communication skills to increase emotional intelligence, improve interpersonal interactions and nurture relationships in the workplace
