Prepare for a lifetime of leadership with online professional development classes and certificates from UW–Madison. Get the skills and insights you need to lead change and build strong relationships from expert UW–Madison instructors and industry pros. Classes are offered in a highly participatory, live online format.

  • Project Management Certificate

    • Online: Anytime

    Three classes and an applied learning review. Gain insights and explore contemporary best practices in project management to build the knowledge, skills and confidence you need to effectively lead projects. Classes and learning review must be completed within a two-year period.

  • Servant Leadership Certificate

    • Oct. 16, 2024–Nov. 7, 2024 - Live online - $2,150; gov't/non-profit $1,650

    Examine the core aspects of servant leadership. Topics for the five-day program are: Servant Leadership Foundations, Personal and Organizational Challenges of Servant Leadership, Serving Customers/Clients/Citizens, Servant Leadership at the Team and Organizational Level and Connecting Servant Leadership to the Community and the World.

  • Mid-Level Management Certificate (MLMC)

    • Online: Anytime

    Get a deep knowledge and effective tools that mid-level functional and technical managers need to lead within their immediate areas of responsibility and impact the success of their wider organizations. The certificate consists of seven required courses. Take up to three years to complete this certificate.
