A Spanish-writing expert will give you personalized feedback on five writing assignments. Plus, learning to write complex sentences will improve your spoken Spanish. Prerequisite: Spanish 5 or previous study of the past tenses and the subjunctive.

Students have 6 months from the registration date to complete the course.

Overview

Improve in 10 lessons

The interactive lessons will focus on various aspects of grammar, such as:

  • Noun, article and adjective agreement
  • Subject and verb agreement
  • Preterite and imperfect forms
  • Past progressive and past perfect tenses
  • Subjunctive forms
  • Direct and indirect object pronouns

You will review the Spanish past tenses and gain a deeper understanding of their differences. You will review conjunctions, the subjunctive mood and learn to add interest and depth to your writing. Plus, you'll learn how to proofread your own work, use a dictionary to your advantage, improve your descriptions and vary sentence structure when writing. You'll apply your learning with four guided writing assignments, and multiple interactive quizzes during the course will help you gauge what you're learning. You will get constructive feedback on all your writing assignments from a Spanish language expert.

The last lesson will include a 500-700 word personal narrative, in which you will put into practice everything you learned throughout the course.

At the end of this course, you will be a more effective writer. You will also be better equipped to incorporate complex sentence structures and richer vocabulary into your conversations.
