Innovative fundraising leads to Continuing Studies Giving

An abundance of creative energy was demonstrated by the Continuing Studies Partners in Giving team this fall leading to more than a fistful of dollars for this annual fundraising project.

This year, CS faculty and staff raised a total of $13,587.64. The project team included Christina Finet, Alex Hancock (both of Marketing and Communications), Julie Klein (Dean’s office), and Jodi Roberts (Liberal Studies and the Arts).

A total of 63 people, giving the division a participation rate of almost 77 per cent, donated $12,096 that goes to various national, state and local nonprofit organizations..

Some of the fun activities that raised a total of $1,491, included:
• $437.64 from the Change Jug Challenge,
• $750 from the Silent Auction,
• $283 from the Baked Potato Lunch Kick-Off Event, and
• $21 from the Athletic-wear Day Event.
