Relationships Matter

Only through authentic relationships can we hope to create organizations that treat every individual with respect and dignity, that welcome multiple perspectives, use conflict creatively, and elicit our best actions based on integrity. Whether or not you have a “formal” leadership role, everyone has the potential to be an emotionally intelligent leader. Learn how to make relationships matter at work, home, and in the community through these engaging programs.

  • Communication Skills for Challenging Conversations

    Learn to handle difficult conversations at work and to listen and be assertive without weakening relationships. Better understand the complex nature of interpersonal communication and explore why misunderstanding is so normal. Apply the skills learned to conflict resolution and give performance feedback.

  • Managing Your Brain for Managers: The Neuroscience of Leading Self and Others

    • March 11, 2025–April 15, 2025 - - $580; gov't/nonprofit $470

    Our brains are hardwired to react and protect us. Through this skills-based training, we learn to calm our fear-based survival center and activate parts of the brain that facilitate creativity, critical thinking and interpersonal connection.
