In this highly charged, energetic webinar, you'll learn about how Motivational Interviewing (MI), a collaborative, goal-oriented method of communication that focuses on the language of change, can help a variety of professionals explore their clients, patients, or students' own arguments for behavior change. After reviewing the what, why, and how of the science of MI, you'll learn how you can move from where you currently are with your MI skills and knowledge to where you want to be.
A team of Motivational Interviewing (MI) trainers will also help you find an MI training that fits your learning needs by highlighting upcoming MI training opportunities, including the August 7–9, 2024 MI Conference to be held live on the University of Wisconsin campus. Many of the MI trainers who will be presenting at this webinar got their start by taking courses here at the UW-Madison.
