Advance your project management skills by diving deep into some of the critical components of managing a project. Building teams and helping them perform effectively has dividends for both the project and the organization. Effective resource management is a critical piece of project budget management and plays a role in enterprise-level resource optimization. Making sure that there is a comprehensive risk register that's appropriately weighted allows for better control of the impacts on a project's progress and creates a higher margin of safety leading to greater confidence in the delivery plan. Capturing lessons learned in a disciplined manner through post-implementation reviews helps an organization build a knowledge base of best practices that enhances its execution capabilities and improves the probability of ongoing success. Going beyond the basics of project management creates a culture of learning, accountability, transparency, high performance and successful delivery.
