This certificate is not affiliated with PMI’s PMP® (Project Management Institute’s Project Management Professional certification)  and does not serve as exam preparation. However, it includes 45 instructional hours, fulfilling the 35-hour education/training requirement needed to sit for the exam. Please visit the PMI website directly for more information on their exam requirements.

Overview

The purpose of the Project Management Certificate is to give learners significant knowledge and sufficient skills to take on the responsibility of managing a project for the first time and to enhance the abilities of managers who are already leading projects. The certificate is not a "certification" level of study nor is it a preparation series for those wishing to take the PMI PMP® (Project Management Institute's Project Management Professional certification) exam. To receive the certificate, learners must take each of the four required classes and complete a Project Management Applied Learning Review guided by an experienced project manager mentor.

Registering for the Certificate declares your intention to complete it. To begin your coursework, register for Fundamentals of Project Management.
