Summary

Mundos invisibles: un viaje a través del relato latinoamericano

In this advnced Spanish Book club, participants will read eight short stroies by Latin American writers.  These diverse narratives explore the unseen and often unspoken stuggles that shape the characters' lives, offering a profound reflection on human experience and society.  Participants will discuss each cuento using guiding questions and contextualized learning materials, including vodeos, articles, audios and other supporting documents will further enrich group conversations.

Course format

Discussions will happen in weekly one-and-a-half-hour live online sessions led by an experienced instructor and include a mix of small group discussions using Zoom breakout rooms and conversations with the entire class. The live online sessions begin one week after the scheduled course start date to allow time to work through the first unit of learning material in preparation for the live conversation practice.

Participants will read one short story weekly in addition to working through supplementary online course materials that will increase cultural knowledge and build advanced vocabulary and grammar skills.  All materials are available on the course platform.  No additional purchase neccessary.

Course materials become available online on the scheduled course start date and remain accessible for one month after the course ends.
