Continuing Studies

Summary

This course consists of four hours of self-directed learning in Canvas and one live online session using the Zoom platform. The self-directed learning exercises will be available in Canvas one week before the live session and should be completed before the live session.

Project Management for Everyone is designed to offer a gradual and effective introduction to core project management principles. Establish an understanding of foundational knowledge, concepts and tools related to project management. This course is ideal for individuals with little to no prior experience in project management or those seeking additional reinforcement before progressing to "Fundamentals of Project Management."

By the end of this class you will be able to:

  • Define the attributes of a project and the role of a project manager.
  • Identify common principles of project management.
  • Describe tools commonly used to manage projects.
  • Use a simple tool to establish the scope of a project.
