The Clinical Psychology Summer Institute includes seven sessions that can be taken individually—or attend the full institute and get a substantial discount. Individual sessions: $70–210 each. Full institute: $575. Earn 2–6 CE hours (0.2 – 0.6 Continuing Education Units) from UW–Madison Continuing Studies for each class that you take.
Classes are held 8:30 a.m.–3 p.m. each day (times vary), enabling you to work, spend time with your family and enjoy the summer.
Per the American Psychological Association, continuing education enables psychologists to keep pace with the most current scientific evidence regarding assessment, intervention and education.
Per Wisconsin Administrative Code Chapter PSY 4, licensed psychologists must complete at least 40 hours of board-approved continuing education each two-year licensure renewal period. This summer institute offers 22 hours of CE programming toward your requirement (including up to 6-12 hours of ethics training).
For other states, check with your licensing board. Most states require CE hours for professional licensure renewal.
