Managing Projects Using Change Management Skills

Upcoming dates (1)

For registration assistance: 608-262-2451

Summary

This program will be a mix of self-directed learning in Canvas and three live online sessions using the Zoom platform. The self-directed learning exercises will be available in Canvas two weeks before the live session and should be completed before that date.

The goal of project management is to ensure a project is delivered on time and within scope and budget. On their own, project management practices do not account for the changes in attitude and behavior required of people who are affected by the projects. This class focuses on the relationship between project management and change management to help you successfully manage both the technical and the people side of change.

Overview

Learning objectives

  • Describe the relationship between project management and change management.
  • Create tools and approaches to help you establish and clearly communicate the project scope and clarify its impact on stakeholders.
  • Describe strategies to manage resistance and support project success.
