Summary

This program will be a mix of self-directed learning in Canvas and two live online sessions using the Zoom platform. The self-directed learning exercises will be available in Canvas two weeks before the live session and should be completed before that date.

Course Description:

Artificial Intelligence is not a trend. It is a revolutionary development in technology for which all workplaces should be informed and prepared. This course is designed for non-technical managers and professionals seeking to understand and leverage generative AI in their operations. Over four weeks, participants will explore ethical AI applications, develop strategic implementation plans, and gain hands-on experience with AI tools. The course aims to make AI accessible, with a focus on practical guidance to harness AI for improving communication, automating tasks and enhancing decision-making processes. No prior technical expertise is required.

Target Audience:

Mid-level managers, emerging leaders, and professionals in the public and private sectors interested in integrating AI technologies into their work.

Course Objectives/Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Grasp foundational concepts of AI and generative AI, including ethical considerations and applications in business.
  2. Strategize AI implementation within organizations, identifying areas for efficiency and innovation.
  3. Utilize AI tools for task automation, enhanced decision-making, and improving workplace productivity.
  4. Promote AI literacy within organizations, ensuring an informed and ethical approach to AI integration.
