A total of 24 UW-Madison nontraditional and returning adult students will be honored April 24 with scholarships having a total value of $70,000.
Students, families, friends, faculty, and staff are invited to attend the awards reception from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Union South. The reception and the scholarships are coordinated by UW-Madison Continuing Studies, Adult Career and Special Student Services.
The two students who will be honored with Outstanding Undergraduate Returning Adult Student Awards this year are Janet Moore of McFarland, a double major in art and environmental studies; and Jessie Otradovec of Madison who is a triple major in physics, mathematics, and astronomy.
This award recognizes returning adult undergraduates for their exceptional determination, perseverance, and contributions to the community.
Four award finalists also will receive financial awards. They are: Jacek Kraszewski, Margarita Northrop, Daniel Ramirez, and Debra Westby, Nine additional nominees will be recognized.
