How to Find Classes

View the credit classes that will be offered for the current and future terms using the Public Class Search.

See a demo of Class Search here.

View a future semester’s course offerings on the following release schedule:

  • Fall Term (September to December classes): Class Search available for view in mid-March
  • Spring Term (January to May): Class Search available in mid October
  • Summer Session (May to August): Class Search available early January

If you wish to see if classes may be offered in the future, use the Course Guide.

As a visiting student you will need to enroll in 3-4 courses to be considered a full-time student. Your minimum course/credit load will depend on your educational level.

Once admitted as a student you will be invited to enroll for classes and in most cases you will know before you leave for UW-Madison that you have the classes you wish to take for the upcoming semester.
