Student Health Insurance Requirement
UW-Madison and immigration requirements mandate sufficient health insurance coverage for international students and their dependents. The Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) is UW-Madison's approved health insurance plan. SHIP provides comprehensive health coverage for medical, counseling, and prescription services above and beyond what is possible through University Health Services (UHS). At the international student orientation, SHIP representatives will provide details about the program, required forms, and payment information.
Available on-campus Health Services
University Health Services (UHS) is located on campus at 333 East Campus Mall and is open to any current UW-Madison degree-seeking or University Special student enrolled in at least one credit.
