Teaching Online

Continuing Studies supports educators interested in online education by providing training and resources through the Distance Education Professional Development program (DEPD).  The distance learning specialists at DEPD prepare educators for online teaching and leadership roles through classes, certificates, and an annual conference. Programs also provide access to resources, reports and peer networking opportunities.

Distance Education Certificate Program

This program provides both depth and breadth of knowledge for advancing into leadership roles as a DE professional. This program will improve your understanding of the challenges of providing quality online learning, help you to manage a program, and to make more informed decisions

Professional Certificate in Online Teaching

Focus on online teaching strategies, techniques, and high-impact practices in this self-paced program. The Professional Certificate in Online Teaching (PCOT) offers a foundation of key principles and best practices in online teaching. On your own schedule, you'll develop the knowledge and skills for being a successful online instructor.

The Annual Conference on Distance Teaching & Learning

This conference is a national forum for the exchange of information on distance education. The conference addresses the needs of practitioners and researchers who are involved in the application of technology to the teaching and learning process and in the planning, administration, and management of distance education programs.
