About the training

Learn practical, applied skills and techniques for promoting programs, ideas, causes or changes in behavior —how to reach, inform, motivate or persuade, especially in regard to health, safety, environmental education and community-building. Other training topics include: sustainability in business and community settings, customer service, marketing for non-profits and small business, plain language and literacy, and creative outreach for continuing education.

NEW this year:  Networking

Whether the cause is social, environmental, political, or spiritual, the principles for finding common interest are similar.  The motivation to find someone and work together can be harnessed for self improvement or organizational health.  And these days, the media through which we network can either enhance or limit the depth of the relationships.  This workshop is about the theory, research, metaphors, and practical aspects of finding assets and collaborative partners.  Skill building.

Who can benefit

Public health, human services and community development workers, small business owners, civic and volunteer organizations.
