Call for 2013 Teaching Proposals
Submit your ideas online by November 1, 2012
Before you start your electronic proposal
Plan your submission before you begin filling out the form. Have your information ready . Do not look ahead to preview the form or complete questions out of order, as you will not be able to "back up" to a previous section to complete. You may keep a section open as long as you need - or even stop your session and come back to where you left off at a later date, but once you advance to a different section, you cannot re-visit a previous section. There are only 2 required sections: your personal information and 1 workshop. Each workshop idea is considered a separate section. At the end of each section, you will be given the option to add another workshop. If you decline submitting an additional workshop, your complete proposal will be submitted. You may submit up to 5 different workshop ideas.
Here's what you need to have ready:
Personal information: Contact information, short bio, 3 teaching references (name, phone and email)
For each workshop proposal: Working Title, format options (# hours per day, #days per week, preferred time for day), skill level, short narrative description, at least 3 teaching objectives, description of each day's activities, preliminary list of student owned supplies (required and optional), preliminary list and cost per person for materials supplied by instructor, equipment needed on site, personal equipment you expect to bring and use. Notes: PC-based, projection teaching stations with CD, DVD, flash drive and Internet are available in each classroom. A required, in-person tutorial is scheduled as part of staff orientation. Please indicate whether you will be using the teaching station, including sound needs.
