Then and now

With a celebration of its storied history, School of the Arts looks to the future

Without roots, nothing grows; with deep, healthy roots, life flourishes. School of the Arts Rhinelander has deep, healthy roots. The kind that generously feed and nourish creative inspiration—and have done so for half a century.

Then and now—this year’s theme—evokes not only the thousands of artists who have found, fed, and cultivated their muses at School of the Arts in the past but also those who will experience its creative nourishment this year and beyond. In the spirit of now, we’ve added new classes and new instructors, extended the schedule, expanded the culinary arts and nutrition track, and more.

Register now to join us July 20-24. Enjoy a weekend or a full 5 days of inspiration, education, and even entertainment. Put down some deep, healthy roots with us. And watch your art flourish.

From Director Lynn Tarnoff

The 50th  anniversary of School of the Arts at Rhinelander is a time to celebrate the past and continue to grow in our art forms in a changing world.  The theme  “Then and Now” reminds us that creative inspiration comes from our roots, is influenced by current time and place, and  moves us to continue on our journey as artists.  Join us for either a weekend or a full five days of inspiration, education, and even entertainment—all reflecting and celebrating 50 years of dreamers and doers.
