“Crescent”, turned walnut

“Crescent” was handcrafted, on a lathe, using a two-stage process which created the off-center bowl. The walnut is contrasted by a maple centerpiece. When displayed, the beaded subject is suggestive of a crescent moon. Care is taken as much on the back of the piece as the front. To me, the quality is reflected by paying attention to the total piece and contributes to its beauty at the end of the day.
