My goal in portraying a golf course is more than to simply render an image of a lovely golf hole. It’s to try and capture the larger context—the essence of the land on which it lives—to share the sense of awe I get upon discovering the magic of a new and wonderful place. To me, being in this place is like traveling through a portal to the ancient Scottish and Irish roots of this noble game.
