Mapping the Stars, digital composition, lightjet print
James A. Schwalbach Creativity Award
I like to work with color and form and abstraction. I particularly love to use large sections of black, sillhouette-type figures, but wanted in this piece to force myself to use only colors. I was inspired by some of the pictures that I’ve seen from the Hubble Telescope, and their brilliant colors. So, layer by layer, piece by piece, movement by movement, I created this composition. It started its life as a random assortment of pixels and ended up what you see. What do you see?
