Painting has been a real passion forever. My mother was a source of inspiration, starting at a very young age. This watercolor was fun to re-create memories and combine it with a place to dream. I experimented with mixed-media techniques. It is symbolic of a sail boat drifting along as well as a place to escape. I hope to capture the serenity and power of the open water in this expressive watercolor painting.
