Distance Education Professional Development (DEPD) is a unit in Professional Development and Applied Studies, a department in UW-Madison Division of Continuing Studies. DEPD prepares educators for online teaching and leadership roles through classes, certificates, access to resources, and participation in the Annual Conference on Distance Teaching & Learning (on-site and virtual). DEPD programs are well-established and are based on a cost-recovery model. We are seeking a dynamic individual with solid experience in teaching and designing online courses as well as instructional design for professional development.

This position operates with a large degree of autonomy. The incumbent develops their own work sequences and methods to meet the requirements of the programming function within departmental policies. This position has the responsibility for contributing to the efficient operation of the department, and providing an atmosphere conducive to continuing education. This position requires a broad range of skills: computer skills, excellent interpersonal communication, organizational, time management and project management skills. In addition to handling multiple projects simultaneously, the ability to work with financial data is a requirement.
Project Manager for Educational Innovation Initiatives

This position is part of the Educational Innovation initiative. Educational Innovation is a coordinated effort to create a sustained campus environment that maintains and enhances student learning while improving capacities and generating new resources. This position will report to the Associate Dean and be part of the Educational Innovation Program Development team that works collaboratively with campus partners to develop degrees and post-baccalaureate certificates for non-traditional students using distance education.
