Join us for an epic wildlife safari in one of the best places left on Earth: Tanzania! This trip has been, by far, our most popular offering, and it has sold out every time we’ve had the pleasure of going. It is, to put it simply, a wonderful trip, and it has never failed to be an ex - traordinary experience. Don’t miss this opportunity for one of the most rewarding and exciting journeys of your life.

Your African safari will begin when you step off the plane in Arusha and load into your four-wheel-drive vehicle for the short trip to our lodge, where you will spend your first two nights. Sleep late on your first morning in this lush highland region before your first game drive in Arusha National Park, which includes a canoe safari on Momella Lake.

On your second full day in Africa, you’ll travel to the stupendous Tarangire National Park. Boasting the greatest concentration of wildlife outside of the Serengeti, Tarangire is full of elephant herds, mammals, birds, and predators, all in search of the dwindling water supply that can still be found in the Tarangire River, directly below our lodge. You’ll spend two nights enjoying this classic African landscape.

The next four nights at the vast Serengeti National Park will surely stay with you forever. After a stop at Olduvai Gorge, you’ll get four full days on a safari in this most spectacular of Tanzania’s parks. Find yourself amongst thousands of migrating wildebeests and zebras, countless gazelles, elusive cheetahs, magnificent herds of elephants, leopards, giraffes, ostriches, and numerous prides of lions, 500 species of birds, and countless other forms of life on the mesmerizing Serengeti Plain. With four nights at a bush camp in the center of the park, you’ll enjoy exhilarating game drives by day and relaxing conversations by the campfire at night in this extraordinary and unforgettable place.

Your African adventure concludes with a short trip back across the rift valley and up the escarpment to the lovely Karatu Highlands, where you will stay for the next three nights. You will spend a full day in one of the most unique locations in the world, the Ngorongoro Crater, for a game drive and a hike along the rim, and then enjoy a full day visiting the nomadic Hadza tribe to learn about their hunting techniques and their way of life in this challenging environment. Your day with the Hadza is not something you are likely to forget anytime soon.

After that it’s a short trip back to Arusha for your flight home, but the wonders of Tanzania will be with you always.

Join us for what is, truly, a trip of a lifetime.

The people of Tanzania are absolutely delightful, and your lodging will be very nice, very clean, and very comfortable. The food will be delicious far beyond your expectations and you will be well cared for everywhere you go. At all of the safari lodges you will be in close proximity to wild animals, and the night sounds will be genuine. Please understand that the realities of travel in Africa are wonderfully unique and rewarding beyond description.

All transfers will be in four-wheel-drive vehicles with driver-guides. No vehicle will contain more than five travelers, so everyone will have a window seat and plenty of room in the rooftop opening for game viewing. We have tried to minimize long travel distances, but some time spent on dusty, bumpy roads is inevitable, and a vital part of the adventure.

Please note: Group size will be limited to 24 persons in order to ensure a quality experience.
