Unit 5: Putting it all together with pizzazz.
What we cover in this course
- Unit 1: Title, hook, and thesis statements
- Unit 2: Structure, plot, and thesis support
- Unit 3: Wrap-ups
- Unit 4: Grammar, spelling, diction, tone, and dialogue
- Unit 5: Pulling it all together with pizzazz
Each unit is designed to stand alone, and each unit will offer you examples, optional exercises, and assignments. You can do them in order, or go directly to the areas that most directly pertain to you and your project.
In the final unit there will be a lesson review for each of the examples given in the class. These include a business letter, a professional report, an academic essay, a short story, and even a poem.
At the end of Unit 5, you can turn in up to 10 pages of your own personal project for review. If it’s just a one-page poem, that’s okay, too!
How this course works
You can start this writing course anytime, and there are no required hours to participate. It's all done with one-to-one correspondence with the instructor using e-mail. We have writers from around the world enrolled in our email correspondence courses, and a lot of great writing gets accomplished via e-mail. Because of the one-to-one nature of our workshops you'll find them an excellent "coaching" or mentoring situation that will keep you on track to reach your goals.
Please contact your instructor if you have any questions about how this online class can help you become a better writer!
