Martha Graham, renowned American dance pioneer, was an innovative force in 20th century art. Learn about the cultural forces that influenced her—Freud's new psychology, first wave feminism, the rise of fascism, and modernist art—and dance some of her most iconic movements. Dancing in Context workshops explore the work and cultural contexts of important choreographers, and teach some of the movements that made them famous.
