University of Wisconsin–Madison Continuing Studies and School of Music in cooperation with The American String Teachers Association is pleased to sponsor the 2013 National String Instrument Repair Clinics. These intensive clinics provide hands-on experiences for those interested in learning to repair and maintain string instruments. Participants work on their own projects under the guidance of skilled specialists.

For more than 30 years, the National String Instrument Repair Clinics have provided hands-on experiences for those interested in learning more about string instrument repair. The Clinics offer excellent instruction in the repair of violins, violas, and cellos; bow repair; fretted instruments; and lever and pedal harp maintenance.
The setting for all classes—as well as lodging for those desiring housing during the Clinics—is Ogg Hall on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. Ogg Hall is just a few blocks away from Madison’s famous State Street, Downtown Madison, and the central UW-Madison campus.

Participants will be accepted in the order of registrations received (limited to 15 per track).
