Where are the classes held?

Many of the dance, movement and fitness classes are held at the State Street Center (122 State Street). Tap classes are at Tapit (1957 Winnebago Street). Other classes are at Kanopy Dance (341 State Street), and Satya Yoga (6333 Odana Rd). The location of the class will be listed with its description and will appear on your confirmation slip after you register.

Where can I park?

For campus/downtown/State Street locations, there are a few different parking garage locations.

  • Johnson Street/Dayton Street Ramp
  • Lake Street Ramp (enter off Frances Street or Lake Street)

Street parking is available near the Tapit Studio and Satya Yoga has a free parking lot.

What is the class attire?

Please check the catalog for specified attire. Attend the first class and get specific attire and shoe requirements. Comfortable attire suitable for movement is sufficient for most classes. Street shoes are generally not allowed in the dance studios.

Do I need previous training to take these classes?

Classes are available for the beginning, intermediate, and advanced student, for teens and adults. Class levels are identified in the title and the course description. If the class level is not designated it is a class suitable for the beginning student. The instructors give each student individual attention.
